Junior E-commerce Product Assistant

We are looking for a highly motivated Junior E-commerce Product Assistant who is passionate about all things e-commerce, to join the Digital Department at our Head Office in Cape Town.

Reporting to the Digital Manager, this role is a fantastic opportunity to grow your career in multi-channel B2B and B2C e-commerce while working on South Africa’s leading sporting, outdoor and athleisure brands such as First Ascent, Speedo, Gilbert, Grays, Gray-Nicolls, Spalding and others.

You must have an appetite for staying on top of the latest tech and digital systems trends and be eager to learn on the fly in a fast-paced environment. A positive attitude, passion for optimisation and excellent communication and team skills are a must with the ability to work well under pressure on multiple deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Administration and maintenance of ERP product data
• Assistance with product photography workflow
• Coordination between various brand teams to ensure correct product data is loaded onto the ERP
• Assistance with merchandising product catalogue across our 8 ecommerce stores

Requirements

• Relevant academic background in digital marketing, or related program
• Minimum 1-year experience with product data maintenance on e-commerce platforms such as Magento, BigCommerce, Shopify, WooCommerce or related E-commerce platforms
• Excellent copywriting and communications skills
• Detail focused, strong problem-solving, analytical and trouble-shooting skills
• Well organised with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines

Advantages:

• Experience using PIM or ERP systems such as Microsoft Navision or related
• Experience with CX and UX optimisation tools (Hotjar / MS Clarity)
• Power BI data analysis experience
• A passion for the outdoor life and/or sports
